Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson says Sokratis Papastathopoulos needs to be sold by Arsenal.

Sokratis was snapped up from Borussia Dortmund last summer for around £18m.

But Lawrenson told the Daily Star: "Sokratis is not good enough. Not good enough for where Arsenal need to be.

"Don't get me wrong, he's an okay player, but not good enough for that level.

"Arsenal were arguably the best English club side I've ever seen [during the 2003/04 Invincibles campaign].

"But strikers win you games and defenders win you titles. It'll never change."
