Twelve months on from lifting the Champions League trophy in Madrid, Henderson is set to do the same with the Premier League crown.
Dalglish said: "Jordan will be the only Liverpool captain to lift this trophy and be a winner of the club's World Cup as well. He is up there with the captains who have won the Champions League.
"(When I recruited him) I saw someone who was better than what we had at that time. It was in the plan. Then when you went into discussions he was very balanced, his Dad came with him for the talks, which to me was a good sign. He had a safe home life to help and he was determined to succeed in football.
"If I hadn't given him a chance, I would have been wrong. I'm not modest; if you see something you like, you take it."
