Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has made his call on whether Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane is the superior player.

The pair shared the Golden Boot last season with Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as Jurgen Klopp's side narrowly missed out on the league title.

During an Instagram Live Q&A, Carragher said: "Salah or Mane? I'm a Mane man.

"I'm a big fan of Mane. He's my favourite Liverpool player.

Carragher was later asked to compare Mane to Virgil van Dijk, the Dutch defender who has also enjoyed a sensational campaign.

"I think Virgil is Liverpool's best player but Mane is my favourite."
