Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher is convinced by the ability of Rhys Williams.

As a result of Liverpool's growing injury list, Williams could feature regularly in the coming weeks as the Reds look to continue their impressive form.

"It's a huge problem for Liverpool," Carragher told CBS. “(Joel) Matip was touch and go for this game. Whether he will be back for West Ham, I am not sure.

"The young lad Rhys Williams came back and actually did well tonight. What he does give you is a great size and great aerial ability that Fabinho or Joe Gomez don't give you.

“I think everyone will have their fingers crossed that Matip is back for the game at the weekend for West Ham.

“Then maybe the Atalanta game because Liverpool have made a great start then it's not as important. Then you got the Manchester City game next and that's huge."
