Liverpool legend Carragher admits Spurs right to be upset over Firmino winner

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher admits Tottenham can feel aggrieved over the nature of Roberto Firmino's winner yesterday.

It came from a Liverpool throw-in, however replays showed that it was Sadio Mane who got the final touch before it went out of play.

Carragher admitted on Sky Sports after the goal that it should have been a Tottenham throw, but also agreed that it was a tough call to get right.

"No it should have been a Tottenham throw in (that led to the goal) but the linesman is other side of the pitch, referee is behind, they're always difficult ones to give," said Carragher.

"Tottenham don't cover themselves in glory from the throw in, Mourinho would be so disappointed," he continued. "Alderweireld should be closer but Winks gets done on the run and then the organisation goes and it becomes a pinball machine and fantastic first touch from Firmino and goal."

VAR did check for a potential handball from Jordan Henderson in the build-up but the images were inconclusive and the goal was ruled good.
