Liverpool have received a significant boost in their quest to secure Udinese midfielder Rodrigo De Paul.

Jurgen Klopp's side need a replacement for departing midfielder Gini Wjinaldum.

De Paul was linked to the Merseyside giants, and Leeds United, last summer.

According to InsideFutbol, Liverpool are already in talks with Udinese and the player about a summer transfer.

Argentina international De Paul, speaking in a recent Gazzetta dello Sport, acknowledged he had received interest from clubs in Europe's top leagues.
