According to reports from The Mirror,Liverpool have placed a bid for Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Oxlade-Chamberlain enjoyed a wonderful campaign for Arsenal last term but the attacker's long-term future at the Emirates Stadium remains in doubt as he has entered the final 12 months of his contract with the North London club.

While Arsenal are desperate to tie down Oxlade-Chamberlain to a new deal, Liverpool have expressed a strong interest in signing the England international.

And it is now the Reds have launched an official inquiry as they ramp up their efforts to sign the 23-year-old this summer.
