Liverpool will cough up £1 million to sign AS Roma goalkeeper Alexandre Doni.
The Daily Mail says Liverpool are set to complete a £1million deal for Roma goalkeeper Doni as Kenny Dalglish embarks on his summer spending spree.
The Brazilian shot-stopper Doni, who is under contract with the Serie A club for a further season, will provide experienced cover for No 1 Pepe Reina casting doubt over current understudy Brad Jones.
"I spoke to the club (Roma) yesterday and they confirmed they are holding talks with Liverpool to reach an agreement regarding the transfer of Doni," said the goalkeeper's agent Ovidio Colucci.
"Once an agreement is reached between the two clubs, we will begin negotiating personal terms with Liverpool.
"Doni would be very happy to join Liverpool and play in the Premier League."
