Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina refused to criticise former teammate Javier Mascherano over his move to Barcelona.

Reds veteran Jamie Carragher has rapped the Argentine over the way he left Anfield last month.

But Reina insists: "He will not create any problems in Barcelona, he is always professional, never has generated controversy.

"He's a good person even if he is quiet, somewhat introverted. When it's time to work, he works."
