Liverpool keeper Alisson: Am I at Neuer's level?

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson doesn't believe he's at the level of Bayern Munich No1 Manuel Neuer.

Allison, 26, has been outstanding for the Reds this term, conceding just 24 times in 37 games and keeping 20 clean sheets.

But he insists that he needs to be consistent for a much longer period, before he can be ranked as one of the best on the planet or be spoken of in similar terms to his Bayern counterpart.

“I cannot compare myself to Neuer," said the modest Reds' stopper, speaking on Tuesday night.

“He's been one of the best in the last 10 years and I am just starting.

“I use him as a reference, and he's a great person as well. It's a dream to play against him.

“It's a consequence of what we do on the pitch and I work hard on the training pitch and I'm part of a big club with big goals and plans and I need to take care of this responsibility by giving my 100 per cent on the pitch.

“So being the best in the world is a consequence of this."
