Liverpool are considering a surprise move for Espanyol goalkeeper Diego Lopez.

The Spaniard is on-loan in Spain from AC Milan, where he still has over 18 months to run on his contract.

The Daily Star says Liverpool are pondering a move for Lopez as they seek to solve their goalkeeper problems.

Lopez, formerly of Real Madrid, has been outstanding for Espanyol this season to the point where he has been pushed in the local media for a Spain call.

The initial idea for Liverpool would be to take over Lopez's loan next month from Espanyol.
