Liverpool in Nike talks over new kit deal to eclipse Man Utd

Liverpool are in talks over a new kit deal which would better Manchester United's agreement with adidas.

ESPN says Liverpool are in advanced talks with Nike over a kit deal that could eclipse Manchester United's £750million agreement with Adidas.

The Reds could strike the biggest deal in Premier League history when their current contract with New Balance expires at the end of the 2019/20 season.

Liverpool currently bring in £45million a year from New Balance, who it is claimed have an agreement in which they are allowed to match any bid that comes in for the Reds' contract from a rival manufacturer.

Liverpool have worn New Balance shirts since the 2015/16 season, when the American sportswear company took over their their own Warrior group.

This season's Liverpool home kit was the fastest-selling in Reds history, surpassing the 2016/17 version.
