Liverpool hit new 98 year-old low with Everton defeat

Liverpool are setting a new record low in terms of defeats as they struggle this season.

Liverpool have equalled the club league record of four consecutive home defeats, set from November to December 1923 in the top flight.

Liverpool equalled the top flight record for the longest home losing streak by a reigning champion - four by the Reds themselves from November to December 1923 and Everton from March to April 1929.

Liverpool have now lost four successive Premier League fixtures at Anfield, directly following a 68-match league home unbeaten run (W55-D13-L0).
