Liverpool hero Jan Molby has urged Brendan Rodgers to move for Aston Villa outcast Darren Bent.

Molby reckons struggling Liverpool cannot rely on lone forward Luis Suarez's goals and that Rogers should swoop for Bent.

He told the Daily Star Sunday: "It is staggering that Villa have dropped Bent from their first-team squad.

"Liverpool rely far too heavily on the goals of Luis Suarez.

"Some say Bent wouldn't fit into Rodgers's system but you could easily play Suarez off him. I think Bent would be ­absolutely perfect for them."
