Henchoz says his fellow Swiss has only himself to blame for flopping at Bayern Munich.
On Liverpool, Henchoz told Blick: "We will see if he can adapt to this rhythm. He had his chance with Bayern. He did not take it.
"He did not understand what was required of him. He did his training, got into the car, went to Switzerland, visited his buddies. Maybe ate a kebab. Then he drove back to Munich for two and a half hours.
"If you drive a car for two and a half hours, that's not good for the leg muscles. His muscle injuries were not bad luck. You are unlucky when an opponent hurts you, but not when you are not worried about your body."
