Harry Redknapp believes Liverpool still have a squad filled with talent, despite a number of the Merseyside club's transfers failing to pan out as anticipated.
Brendan Rodgers was replaced by Jurgen Klopp as Reds boss last week, after failing to win any silverware in three seasons at Anfield, despite spending close to £300milllion on player transfers.
Former Tottenham manager Redknapp believes Rodgers wasn't solely responsible for all of Liverpool's failings in the transfer market.
"I have criticised some of the players and I have had a go at the people who signed them, because I am certain it was not Brendan a lot of the time, but they still have some excellent ones there," Redknapp told the Telegraph.
"Management is not as complicated as some people think. You need good players, first and foremost and Liverpool have got players like Christian Benteke, (Philippe) Coutinho, the boy (Nathaniel) Clyne and Daniel Sturridge, who are excellent.
"If the new signings settle, who knows how good they become."
