Liverpool have received a boost in the chase of their summer transfer target, RB Leipzig star Timo Werner.
The attacker is seen as the ideal addition to the team, as he would add an extra dimension compared to their current options.
The 23-year-old wants to move to Bayern Munich, but he has seemingly angered his club by negotiating with Bayern before the clubs agreed a fee.
And Bild now claims that Bayern will not look to sign Werner this summer, instead preferring to renew Robert Lewandowski.
It would open the door for Liverpool as one of the few teams with a big interest and enough money to complete the deal.
