Liverpool had Asensio offer rejected; Real Madrid star now London house-hunting...

Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio has dropped a big hint of where he'll be playing next season.

After failing to secure a regular start this season and seeing his Spain World Cup hopes fall through, Asensio is now preparing to leave this summer.

And Diario Sport says his minders are already preparing for his next move.

The Spanish midfielder's representatives have begun enquiring after homes in London.

Chelsea are in contact and have intimated they're willing to better what Asensio is currently earning with Real Madrid. Key to the negotiations is former Real teammate Alvaro Morata, who has talked up life in London - and with Chelsea - to his good friend. The pair remain in contact via a Real Whatsapp group.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is supportive of his directors' move for Asensio, but has also asked about bringing Real teammate Isco to London.

Meanwhile, it's been revealed Liverpool lodged a concrete bid for Asensio last month. The Reds tabled the offer after selling Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona. However, Real president Florentino Perez immediately rejected the proposal.
