Liverpool legend Phil Thompson believes that Chelsea will miss injured captain John Terry this weekend.
Terry picked up an ankle injury during the dying minutes of Chelsea's 2-2 draw against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday and it has been revealed that the 35-year-old will be out for at least 10 days due to the setback.
Terry will now miss Chelsea's Friday night encounter against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge and former Reds star Thompson has now gone on to state his belief that the inspirational Blues skipper will prove to be a big out for Antonio Conte.
Thompson said on Sky Sports: "It will be a big blow. The years might be catching up with him but he's always been about reading the game.
"He's never had great pace but he organises at the back and I think he will be a big miss. He plays such a major role in that team in the backline."
Terry's absence will hand summer signing David Luiz his second debut for Chelsea following his return to West London from PSG.
