Liverpool great Sir Kenny Dalglish says the club deserves to be crowned champions.

With the Reds 25 points ahead of their nearest rival, the club needs the season to be resumed to assured of being title winners.

"It would be thoroughly deserved," Dalglish told Sky Sports.

"They are 25 points in front and they are not going to lose it from that point of view, although everybody seems to be saying they haven't won it yet.

"Yes, they have not won it yet but they are very close to winning it and I think the great thing is about the players is everyone can see how they perform on the pitch and everyone has their own favourites of who has been the best and who they enjoy watching the most."
