Liverpool goalkeeper Kelleher delighted with clean sheet for victory at Watford

Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher was delighted with his clean sheet for their 5-0 win at Watford.

Kelleher stepped in with Alisson forced out of the game due to international commitments.

"It's not easy obviously, but playing for a team like Liverpool where for the majority of games we are going to dominate possession I'm not going to have much to do," said the goalkeeper.

"But when I am called upon, that's the most important time. Thankfully I was able to make a save and keep the clean sheet."

Kelleher, speaking to liverpoolfc.com, added: "I had the international game (with Ireland) on Tuesday and knew I'd be playing after that, but most of our players came back on Thursday so we only had one or two days to prepare.

"With Watford getting a new manager, we were unsure on what they might do, so we just focused on ourselves and what we could do, and thankfully that paid off.

"It was a proper team performance where everything we did came off. Scoring five goals was amazing and keeping a clean sheet made it a great all-round team performance.

"All the focus is on winning the league, that's what we want to do. Thankfully we are going in the right direction."
