Liverpool given chance as Napoli reject Man Utd offer for Koulibaly

Napoli have knocked back an offer from Manchester United for Kalidou Koulibaly.

The Senegal international is one of the world's top centre-backs, wit Liverpool and Spurs are also in signing him this summer.

United have tried to get the step on their rivals with a £71m bid, according to Sky Italia - via the Daily Mail.

However, Napoli are holding out for a fee closer to £89m.

This is a big reduction from Napoli's demands last summer when they rejected an offer of £107m for the 28-year-old.

Napoli are sixth on the Serie A table and missing out on the Champions League would cause Koulibaly to seriously consider his future at the club.
