Liverpool have received an apparent boost in their hopes of signing Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk, according to reports from The Mirror.

The Reds are very keen on signing Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk this summer and it is believed that they are willing to offer the Dutchman as much as £200,000-a-week in order to lure him to Anfield.

With the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City all also interested, it will certainly not be easy for Liverpool to secure the services of van Dijk but the Reds have been handed a boost in their hopes of completing the transfer as the 25-year-old is attracted by the prospect of playing under Jurgen Klopp.
