Andy Robertson is ready to be a leader for Scotland in Friday's Euro2020 qualifier against Russia at Hampden.
The Liverpool fullback was named as captain of his country 12 months ago and he's ready to lead his teammates in Glasgow.
Everyone in the squad wants Scotland to be successful," insisted Robertson. "We are all pushing in the right direction.
"I am the captain and a leader and, if people look to me, then I will try to push that direction.
"We need to start trying to get the results that we think we deserve after the efforts we have been putting in.
"It's a pivotal game. We know that if we have aspirations of finishing second and qualifying — which we do — realistically it's probably going to be between ourselves and Russia. They are our rivals for this group.
"It's the first time we have come across them and it's at home. We need to start producing big results again. We've not done it for too long. Why not start now? If we can do it, the group will look a lot better."
