Liverpool fullback Nathaniel Clyne admits an England recall was motivation behind his move to Bournemouth.
The right-back won the last of his 14 international caps in November 2016 and in his absence, which was largely caused by a serious back injury, he has seen Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier and Trent Alexander-Arnold emerge as options for Gareth Southgate.
Clyne said: "It seems a bit overcrowded there. You just have to play as well as you can when you get the chance to play.
"There are always eyes watching when you play and you never know with injuries, or players' form taking a dip, there's always an opportunity to get back in there.
"I'm just keen on playing well for Bournemouth and seeing what happens from there."
