Liverpool fullback Alexander-Arnold 'yet to hear from England'

Liverpool fullback Trent Alexander-Arnold has not heard from England ahead of the Euros squad selection.

The 22-year-old right-back was surprisingly omitted from the last England squad for a trio of World Cup qualifiers in March.

And even though UEFA has expanded squad sizes from 23 players to 26 for the tournament that gets underway on June 11, Alexander-Arnold still appears set to miss out.

The Athletic says there has been no contact between the England camp and Liverpool regarding Alexander-Arnold although there is still time with Southgate set to announce the squad on Tuesday.

England are blessed with options in the right-back position and it would appear the likes of Kieran Trippier, Kyle Walker and potentially Reece James will take precedence.
