Liverpool fullback Trent Alexander-Arnold plans to invest part of his new boot deal in the local community.
Alexander-Arnold is set to put pen to paper on a lucrative four-year contract with American manufacturer Under Armour.
He is hoping to buy land in the area and build facilities such as football pitches across the north west city, says the Liverpool Echo.
The 20-year-old was born in the West Derby suburb of Liverpool - which close by to the Reds' Melwood training ground.
Alexander-Arnold is a proud Liverpudlian having joined his local club aged 12 before going on to make his senior debut in the 2016/17 season.
