West Bromwich Albion are targeting veteran Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert as part of their summer rebuilding process.
Lambert, 33, has accepted that he will have to leave Liverpool only a year after signing for the Merseysiders in order to play regular first team football.
With Aston Villa missing out last January with a £5million bid, West Brom manager Tony Pulis will look to act quickly and steal a march on his rivals in order to capture Lambert's signature.
Pulis has been keen to reinforce his attacking options this summer, and after missing out on former Chelsea striker Demba Ba has turned to Lambert, who is unwanted at Anfield.
