Liverpool flop Iago Aspas: What better place to debut than at Wembley?!

Iago Aspas was the star of the night as he scored an important goal in a friendly against England on his debut for the Spain national team.

Liverpool flop Aspas, who currently plays for Celta Vigo, scored in the 89th minute to make the scoreline 2-1 at Wembley Stadium.

Real Madrid's Isco added a second in the sixth minute of injury time to earn a draw for La Furia Roja in what was a memorable international bow for Aspas.

Following the game, the 29-year-old striker said: "It was a difficult game, as we knew it would be right from the start. But despite going 2-0 down we kept fighting and in the end we are able to turn it around.

"Making your debut with these players makes it all much easier and what better stage to gain your first cap than here at Wembley."
