Liverpool fans fume; demands flags and banners be removed from Kop

Liverpool fans have made their feelings known towards the club's owners for their involvement in the Super League breakaway.

Liverpool supporters have hung banners outside Anfield protesting plans for a European Super League, with one reading 'Shame on you. RIP LFC 1892-2021.'

The Reds are one of six Premier League clubs to have signed up to the new competition, joining Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham.

Two banners have been put up outside the club's ground as supporters made their feelings on the subject clear.

Alongside the banner that read 'RIP LFC', another read: 'LFC fans against European Super League.'

Some fan groups have also announced that they will remove their flags and banners from the Kop.

Spion Kop 1906, who organise flags and banners for the famous stand, said they have asked the club to take down all of their displays as soon as possible.
