Liverpool have terminated Javi Manquillo's loan contract.

Right-back Manquillo joined Liverpool last season on a two-year loan deal from Atletico Madrid, with a view to making the transfer permanent.

The defender started well at Anfield but was gradually pushed towards the fringes as the season progressed.

Now with the recent arrival of Nathaniel Clyne this summer, Manquillo has been pushed further down the pecking order and Liverpool have decided to terminate the 21-year old's loan deal a year ahead of its expiration.
