Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is intensifying their pursuit of FC Basel winger Mohamed Salah.
The Daily Star says Rodgers said on Tuesday not to expect any early signings in the transfer window, with the club thought to be actively pursuing Salah.
The exciting wing talent is also on the shopping lists of Manchester United and clubs from Germany and France.
But Liverpool, with Rodgers having made a personal check a fortnight ago and his agents having visited Anfield, are favourites.
