Liverpool draw up three-man midfield shortlist to replace Wijnaldum

Liverpool have drawn up a list of three midfielders as possible replacements for Georginio Wijnaldum this summer.

The Dutchman is expected to depart Liverpool when his contract expires at the end of this season.

PSG, Barcelona and Inter Milan have all been linked with the 30-year-old.

And the Reds are now moving forward with their plans to replace Wijnaldum.

Brighton's Yves Bissouma, Gladbach star Florian Neuhaus and Lyon creative Houssem Aouar are Liverpool's top three targets, according to the Daily Mail.

Neuhaus, 23, has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in Germany, attracting the likes of Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

Arsenal came close to signing Aouar last summer but ultimately opted to purchase Thomas Partey instead.

Like they did with Wijnaldum, Liverpool could turn their attention to a player from the Premier League in Bissouma.

The Mali international has attracted plenty of attention for his performances at the AMEX this season.
