Liverpool's clash with Leicester City was watched by the biggest Anfield crowd for almost 40 years.
The Sunday Mirror says Liverpool played their first three Premier League matches of the season away from home as the reconstruction of Anfield continued.
But the stadium is now fully finished and the new Main Stand was packed out with supporters for the first home game of the campaign against Leicester.
A capacity crowd of 53,075 - the stadium's highest attendance since 1977 - watched on as Liverpool recorded a 4-1 win over champions Leicester.
