Liverpool have moved to rubbish claims Trent Alexander-Arnold faces a month out due to a calf injury suffered in Sunday's draw at Manchester City.
The Sunday World says Alexander-Arnold has pulled out of the England squad for the game against the Republic of Ireland on Thursday, yet Liverpool will be hoping his injury is not as bad has been reported.
However, the club have dampened down suggestions that the 22-year-old will be out for four weeks, missing matches against current Premier League leaders Leicester, Atalanta, Ajax, Brighton and Wolves.
It is understood the club believe such a prognosis is premature and speculative at this stage, but he may face a race against time to be back in time for Liverpool's next game against Premier League leader Leicester on November 21st.
