Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk admits he has been on the receiving end of the "hairdryer" treatment from boss Jurgen Klopp.
While many fans and pundits see Van Dijk as the man who revitalised the Reds' leaking back line, the player says he has frequently risked the wrath of his demanding club boss.
Van Dijk and his teammates are preparing for the UEFA Champions League final against Tottenham on Saturday.
He said to reporters: "I have a good relationship with the boss because he just tells you the truth — and I will tell him the truth.
"Sometimes when I make a mistake that no one else sees, he will tell me.
"At Bayern Munich for example, they scored the equaliser from a ball behind Andy Robertson.
"Normally, I'm there to protect him but I didn't.
"It looked like Andy was in trouble so nobody said it was me.
"But at half-time the manager came in and shouted at me."
