Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk admits he's happy to hear he's a chance for Player of the Year.

However, the Dutchman says he's not taking anything for granted.

“It's nice if people talk about me for Player of the Season – there are a few players who have doing outstandingly well in the Premier League," he said.

"And I'm not sure who I will vote for myself – we will see!"

Van Dijk and Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling are among the favourites for the gong.
