Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has called for a change to the offside laws.
Van Dijk, speaking after winning the Carabao Cup final, says playing on when the referee intends to blow for offside should be outlawed.
He explained: "It's very special (winning the Cup final). There was a lot of hard work that we expected before the match. A lot of calm nerves.
"It was an intense battle and offside goals were also a thing. The rule of just playing on is annoying.
"This is something we need to consider removing for next season. It gives unnecessary metres and tackles."
