Liverpool defender Van den Berg: I'm always improving training with world class teammates

Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg expects a message soon from senior teammate Virgil van Dijk after their FA Cup win over Shrewsbury Town.

Van den Berg stepped in for his fellow Dutchman as Liverpool's kids secured passage to the fifth round as the senior players took their Premier League break.

The teen told De Telegraaf: “I think Van Dijk is happy on vacation. But I notice that everyone within the club is proud of how we did this as young boys. I will no doubt speak to Virgil.

"The mutual interaction with the Dutch boys is beautiful anyway. With Ki-Jana Hoever of course, but also with Georginio Wijnaldum. I can always go to them. With Van Dijk, I am learning from the best defender in the world here."

With Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mané, he says he faces the best attackers in the world at training several times a week.

"Of course that is sometimes difficult, but with trial and error you notice that you are getting better and stronger," adds the youngster.
