Mamadou Sakho has rejected a loan move to Besiktas.

Reports suggest that the Liverpool defender has turned down the opportunity to join the Turkish club on a season-long agreement.

Frenchman Sakho has been told to leave Anfield this summer but has already rebuffed opportunities to move to Stoke City or West Bromwich Albion.

Besiktas wanted to hold talks with Sakho but it is understood that he is holding out for a move back to France or to Italy.
