Liverpool centre-back Mamadou Sakho will face his UEFA hearing related to a potential drug ban on Thursday.

Sakho's lawyers will argue in front of UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary board in Paris that he should escape any additional ban for his failed drug test.

The France international failed his drug test after the Europa League tie with Manchester United on March 17. Sakho allegedly consumed a fat burning substance, but his legal team believes that the substance should not be listed as a prohibitive substance.

The 30-year-old was initially hit with a 30-day provisional suspension, which ended on May 28, and his future will be determined at the hearing on Thursday.
