Mamadou Sakho heaped praise on the Liverpool supporters in the wake of Wednesday night's 4-0 drubbing of Merseyside rivals Everton.
The Reds dominated the Toffees at Anfield to come away with a convincing win thanks to goals from Divock Origi, Sakho himself, Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho but it was a 12th man which helped the team get over the line according to the French defender.
"It was a very good atmosphere, a very good result for us, I think we deserved it because we played very good," he told LFC TV.
"The twelfth player was with us - the fans - and I think it was a really good night for Liverpool."
The win sees the Reds move up to seventh on the table where they now sit six points behind fourth-placed Arsenal.
