Liverpool defender Nathaniel Phillips has sung the praises of new teammate Ibrahima Konate.

Phillips has been impressed by his defensive colleague.

"He has come in perfectly. As a person, he gets along with the guys very well, he is not shy, but he seems to really want to learn and develop. He is motivated and works hard," Phillips told the Liverpool Echo.

"Physically, he is incredible. He is so young and still has plenty of time to develop.

"From what I have seen of him during the pre-season, he looks like a top, top player and a top defender. Physically, he is incredible. He is so young and still has plenty of time to develop and I am sure he will do so in Liverpool."
