Liverpool defender Joel Matip won't rule out a return to Germany.

However, the former Schalke stopper says he is happy and committed to his contract at Anfield.

"My contract is valid until 2021, both partners are in a positive mood," he told Kicker.

"Liverpool is a great club, I feel very comfortable here. Everything is possible."

Asked about a Bundesliga return, Matip added: "Excluded is nothing in football. But right now I'm concentrating exclusively on my footballing experience here in Liverpool."
