Liverpool decide against asking FA for three points from postponed Man Utd clash

Liverpool are not interested in claiming an automatic three points from their rescheduled Premier League game against Manchester United.

The two sides were set to play on Sunday, but the game was called off due to fan protests outside the stadium.

Supporters eventually broke into the stadium before the game, and the police felt they could not guarantee the safety of those who would have been involved in the match.

The FA regulations do state that if a home game is postponed and there is no time to replay the game within the schedule, the away side may be awarded with all three points.

However, The Mirror claims the Anfield club have no interest in going down that route.

The two clubs and the Premier League will work to find a date in the remaining few weeks of the season.
