Liverpool are considering the use of midfielder Marko Grujic as a makeweight in a deal to bring Otavio to the club from FC Porto.
Grujic spent the past season on loan at Porto from Liverpool, playing 23 league games for the Portuguese club.
According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Porto want to sign Grujic permanently, while Liverpool are very keen on Otavio.
The midfielder will have a release clause of €60 million from Thursday, but Liverpool could get a €15 million discount on his signature if they include Grujic in any deal.
If the Reds do sign Otavio, the 26-year-old could slot in as a winger or central attacking midfielder.
