Liverpool are considering a panic singing as the club struggles to contain its defensive injury crisis.

First choice centre-backs Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez are out for a bulk of the season.

Midfielder Fabinho, who can cover in the position, is also unfit.

Now TEAMtalk is reporting 31-year-old Daryl Janmaat, a former Watford defender, is on the club's radar.

Janmaat is fully fit and would be happy with a short term deal, but ideally wants a contract to the end of the season.

He has been without a club since leaving Watford by mutual consent in October.
