Liverpool's great conqueror Milan Pavkov could have been lost to Red Star Belgrade last summer.
The striker struck twice last week as Red Star shocked Liverpool 2-0 in their Champions League clash.
"We offered him to IFK Göteborg and other Swedish clubs. He would have cost between three and five million in fees. But I think the economy stopped and they were also not sure about the player's quality," said Dario Slomic, an agent representing Pavkov, to GT.
"It's a bit funny that he could have been in Blåvitt now. Instead, he defeated Liverpool with two goals in the Champions League.
"His market value is now between 50 and 100 million."
