Liverpool coach Ablett expects big things from Nemeth

Liverpool reserves boss Gary Ablett has no doubt Hungarian hotshot Krisztian Nemeth will be challenging for the first team next season.

Ablett told liverpoolfc.tv: "His English is improving, but he seems to be a very level-headed young man. We mustn't get carried away as Krisztian is only 19 years of age. He has been with us less than 12 months and we're talking about promoting him and giving him a go in the first team, but you know Rafa has that decision and I'm sure he will make the right decision as to where and when Krisztian gets his go."

Asked about how Liverpool landed the youngster, Ablett continued: "Towards the back end of my first season we brought Andras Simon over and he did particularly well. We discovered that MTK Hungaria were promoting a lot of young players into their first team in the Hungarian first division, so we thought it might be useful to build some kind of relationship with them.

"We ended up bringing Andras and signing Krisztian, as well as Peter Gulacsi on loan. Andras was very unlucky with injuries - he dislocated his shoulder and had another minor knee operation. But Krisztian - without his goals we would probably not be sitting here discussing such a brilliant season."
