Liverpool are understood to be on the verge of securing a move for Red Star Belgrade midfielder Marko Grujic.
The Daily Express is reporting Reds chief executive Ian Ayre was in Serbia overnight attempting to finalise a £5million deal for 19-year-old.
It is understood Grujic would officially sign with the Merseyside outfit once the January transfer window opens, but will remain a Red Star play until the end of the current season.
